I teach Kindergarten in a very high poverty school in Southern California. My students come from various backgrounds and often have no social interaction using English. The town in which we are located is a rural area with little resources and the nearest city is approximately 20 miles away. They are very eager to learn to read and love listening and acting out stories. They want to be the center of attention at all times!
