This school year marks the first in special education for me. I have a total of 29 students on my caseload and varying disabilities. The range of disabilities that are represented in my caseload are Orthopedic Impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disability and Other Health Impairment. My students range in grade level from kindergarten to fourth grade. Each student is very active and enjoys participating in activities and direct instruction in the special education support classroom. Our school is an arts magnet school that specializes in teaching curriculum through the arts, and I strive to integrate that as well in the special education support classroom.
