We will use our class rug for whole group instruction time which includes our morning meetings, read alouds and mini lessons as well as independent reading time. This rug will give my students a common area to share ideas and work together, as well as help create a warm and friendly classroom environment. The defined colorful squares will help my kindergarteners manage their own space and give them plenty of room to learn, think and play. This will also give my students a new clean place to sit instead of the old dingy carpet that is in our classroom currently.
