I want to provide an iPad for my students. These children have an innate ability to operate technology. It interests them and holds their attention, thereby engaging them fully. Having students with a wide variety of abilities and learning levels presents instructional challenges and the iPad will meet them where they are and carry them forward. I believe having additional technology tools will facilitate learning in literacy and math. This will enhance some children's abilities and enable others to understand the concepts presented in math and reading. The iPad and the learning apps will allow the children to learn and become fluent with addition and subtraction, decoding new words, and reading fluency. It will be engaging and will allow them to play games, thereby learning without being aware they are.
