Allowing young children to develop their imagination and to interact with their peers is very important in my classroom. LEGO blocks can foster a wide variety of activities for young children. Beginning STEM activities, social interaction, fine motor skills, and creativity are only a few of the possibilities when you provide a set of LEGO blocks to a child. LEGO blocks seem to naturally invite children to play with them. All the children need is a tub of LEGO blocks to dump on the floor and the learning begins! Creating, sharing, learning and growing are all encouraged when a child is allowed to play!
