Flexible seating encourages students to find a spot that's is best for them, that spot will help the student remain calm, focus and productive. Flexible seating allows the students to stand, wobble or bounce which increase oxygen flow to the brain, blood flow, and core strength. Wobble seats and stools are also an easy way to pair students in groups for projects or small group sessions. Using flexible seating minimize distractions in the classroom and promote more positive learning during whole group and or small group sessions. During the school year, I observed a teacher that used flexible seating in her classroom. I noticed that the learning environment can have a great impact on student achievement.
