With the pedal bikes I hope to get, my students will be able to be kinesthetic learners. It's hard for them to sit in their desks for an extended period of time. Often times behaviors will spike, my students will get restless and fidgety and as a result distractions will occur, taking away the learning from themselves and others. With pedal bikes they will be able to be active with their feet and learn quietly. This equipment allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Flexible seating can help these students by installing a sense of comfort right at their very feet. They can get their jitters out in their seats. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them and focus on academics and promote a relaxed style of thinking. I have noticed amazing differences when they are given a choice within their classroom environment to learn.
