My classroom is set up to allow for learning through exploration and play. For my students, receiving the supplies will help them to foster a love of learning that comes from interacting with their peers through education-based activities. By having these items in my classroom, children from some of the poorest areas of Chicago will be allowed to have the same opportunities as other children. These students are so intelligent and will benefit from having adequate supplies in the classrooms to help them foster a love of learning. These items will be used specifically for the children in my classroom on the west side of Chicago. The students will be using the crayons and markers to create new works of art that push their thinking and creativity. The will have all colors imaginable to create exactly what they see in the world or imagine in their heads. We will be using modeling clay to recreate characters, setting, and plots from stories read in class and using a globe to spark the imagination of all the places you will go. The time timer will help students see how long is left in any given activity.
