My students tend to have a lot of energy at different times of the day. As a teacher, I want to give them an opportunity to focus their energy so they can hone in on the skills I am teaching. The seating I have requested will allow students a chance to work on their balance and just move. I have researched the different types of alternative seating that students need, and give them a certain level of flexibility. Movement can help students have better memory retrieval, enhance morale and motivation, and strengthen learning. It also provides additional opportunities to show leadership and gain more experience working as a team. My students always love assignments where I give them the opportunity to move around and do a hands-on activity. This project will only give them more opportunities in the future.
