Like many classes around the world, my class has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We need disinfectant wipes to allow for easy clean ups and a clean space. We also need face masks for students in the event that they do not have any or the ones they arrive with become soiled or broken. The pandemic has also affected students’ retention of key reading skills taught in Kindergarten and First Grade. Providing them with phonics tools will help me help them become better readers as they work towards meeting and exceeding grade level expectations.
