Classroom tables will better facilitate opportunities for my students to share materials and their reasoning about math and science concepts. Our school facility is safe and attractive, but the classroom furniture is old and outdated. I am changing grade levels and my room for the upcoming year has individual desks of various sizes and styles that do not fit together well to form learning groups. I have a few floor mats and stools, but we need tables. Tables will maximize limited classroom space, allowing room for stations and hands-on activities in both math and science. Additionally, tables will help support a collaborative atmosphere and promote positive peer interactions when students are given a comfortable space to learn together.
