Picture this: You have finally, successfully logged 25 six-year-olds onto their computer programs, and are just beginning to think you might be able to take a breath when you hear the words that strike fear into all educators striving to be just a little tech-savvy, "Teacher, I can't hear my computer! As you begin to unplug and re-plug, jiggle wires, and get out the electrical tape, you realize that the cry has now become a chorus throughout the computer lab. You begin to wonder if the hour that you had reserved the lab for your class will be anywhere near enough time to accomplish anything. This is the very real situation I face every week because of the faulty headphones we have in our lab. They are cheap and very easily broken. I need my own class set of quality headphones so that my students can be productive and I can save my sanity as I endeavor to incorporate technology into my curriculum.
