As technology advances it seems like a natural choice to incorporate it into our classrooms. Technology is abundant in the real world, and students need to be given lots of opportunities and learning experiences using these resources. It has been shown that students that are given technology were more enthusiastic and engaged with their studies, built better student-teacher relationships, and were gaining technology and problem-solving skills. In my classroom students use technology in a variety of ways across all disciplines. For example, students publish their writing pieces, create presentations, research, work on literacy and math skills, and gain the skills necessary to take our state standardized assessment. These devices will provide enough that each student in the classroom can have their own device, and will allow for them to practice individualized skills and complete work at their own pace. Another big part of utilizing technology in the classroom is teaching students the importance of digital citizenship and online safety.
