Fifth graders are awesome! We are part of a K-12 public charter school with 1,550 students. Our fifth grade students range in all ability levels, with inclusion being a part of the educational environment. Being a charter school, funding is tight. Teachers have to purchase extra materials to enhance subject areas. I am the lead teacher for my grade level, and the materials that I have invested in have become community resources for my team. We share what we have and find creative ways to make materials to support all subject areas.
