My students spend 90 minutes of each day on explicit reading instruction. The literacy cart and big book easel stand will make instruction more fluid and allow for higher levels of student engagement when they can see the book and other reading materials. The wobble seat cushions will provide more wiggly students with an outlet for that extra energy as they listen and learn during literacy instruction. Students need to interact with letters, words, and print in all forms in order to become good readers. The puzzles and dough stamps allow for tactile engagement with letters as they grow into readers. The listening center adds an additional level of engagement for students. Listening to books on CD allows students to hear words read with fluency and expression without interruption.
