This 4 feet by 4 feet sturdy padded pit filled with plastic balls will be used within a physical therapy/occupational therapy treatment setting to support ongoing sensory regulation programming for our students. Many kids require intervention to regulate their sensory system in order to achieve a focused, calm, "ready to learn" mind and body. Within evaluation and therapy sessions , numerous strategies are assessed in order to develop an individualized collaborative "sensory diet". Use of a ball pit will be another integral piece of the puzzle for our team of therapists, teachers, BHP's and Psychologists to achieve calm, focued, learners.
