Our current listening center is outdated and becoming difficult to use as part of our daily reading centers. It has been in my classroom for many years and is operated by cassette tapes. The tapes are breaking and many are missing. My students have a difficult time rewinding the tapes and flipping to the next side. I'm often pulled away from our guided reading center to fix mishaps, due to outdated technology. The listening center is one of my kindergarteners favorite activities. Having an updated phonemic awareness center would greatly benefit my classroom. Any donations would help me achieve my goal of a better learning environment.
