Tables will make it easier for my art students to work collaboratively in groups and still have sufficient room to create art individually. Right now my students, who come from poverty stricken homes, have a desk and I must provide classroom supplies for them to share. This is a hard task to accomplish. We make do by pushing desks together but they are usually uneven and make it hard to reach materials or work on larger projects. These students may come from poor economics but they are some of the brightest in the state according to their rankings in state testing and other competitions.
