My students are quite varied. Since our district closed two schools last year, and students were distributed throughout the district, we have a mix of low income (even homeless), English Learners, students from middle class families, and those who afford after school tutoring. We have discovered that even our students with the advantage of tutoring, lack hands on experience and rely solely on memorization.
