Our Social Studies text books are very outdated. Also, the text is difficult for many of the students to comprehend, especially my struggling readers. One Vote, Two Votes, I Vote, You Vote is a fun book that covers the voting process and changes that have been made to voting through our Constitution. It covers standards and vocabulary that must be covered in the 5th grade Social Studies Curriculum. What student doesn't love Dr. Seuss? These books cover important curriculum with Dr. Seuss characters and book format. Students will read these books in small groups, and complete a book scavenger hunt of questions that relate to the text.
