My students attend a large, urban, public school. 96.1% of the school is low income and are eligible for either free or reduced lunch. In my classroom, 95.8% of students are Hispanic and some are English Language Learners. In my fifth grade classroom, I have students at reading levels ranging from second grade all the way to seventh grade. My students have a passion for reading and their enthusiasm and responses to literature amaze me every day. My students are very motivated to succeed.
