I am asking for an air conditioning unit and water dispenser for our weight room. My students have helped me to transform an old storage building into a place where they can challenge themselves physically and develop mentally. The weight room is a huge asset to our students but we do not have air conditioning yet. A climate controlled environment will help the students to focus more on achieving goals and working hard and less on how extremely hot it is. In the end, improved performance in the weight room will improve end of the year fitness test scores. This last year 93% of students improved in the areas of muscular strength and endurance. Our goal for the coming year will be to get that number to 95%.
