Our school motto is "Reaching every student– all day, every day, every way!" and that is exactly what I strive to do! The seating options requested will help to set the children up for success in their day to day learning. For most of my students, this is their first experience in a structured school setting. We strive to make learning colorful, fun, and hands on. Quite often, young children with special needs have difficulty understanding abstract concepts and spatial relations. These concepts are important both in and out of the classroom. The Everyday Educate Carpet Markers Sitting Spots will be used to teach the above concepts while also learning about colors, shapes, counting, and much more. The stability wobble cushions allow my students to receive sensory input during seated activities, increase focus and attention, and promote positive learning. At a young age, my students are required to take part in multiple academic experiences in both large and small groups for a minimum of 10-15 minutes each. Keeping a child seated for a long period of time can be a difficult task in itself. The wobble cushion improves energy levels, posture, and muscle tone by allowing the children to make slight movements that are appropriate and beneficial to their learning. It is lightweight and can be used on the floor or on a chair, providing versatility throughout multiple lessons.
