Students need incentive to save when they first start earning money. By having personalized banks my students will be more motivated to save for their goals. In addition to personal banks there will be a classroom bank to fund a class "savings party" with found money. Money saved will be matched by me to reinforce the intended behavior. Students will transform simple mason jars into a bank with a savings goal. They will get to use their creative side to personalize their jars with the paint markers and slotted lids and hopefully begin a lifelong habit of working towards their financial goals.
