Makerspace provides hands on, creative ways for students to design, experiment, and invent as they engage in Science, Engineering, and Tinkering, all while focused on student inquiry. Many of my students have expressed their interest in Legos and are hoping to add them to our Makerspace. Having Legos in our Makerspace will allow the students to use their creativity and engineering minds to build and create anything they can imagine! Students will also be working on the navigating the social aspect while working on building, sharing, and communicating with their peers. The Legos will also be incorporated into our Social Studies curriculum when learning about the three types of communities. The students will be able to design and build Urban, Rural, and Suburban communities.
