Many of the students that come to the Literacy Lab for reading intervention do not have books at home to read. By creating the Reading Corner in the Lab, this will give the children a place where they can read quietly and choose books that are at their reading level. They will even be able to take books home to read if they find one they are particularly interested in. The children will love the area designed specifically for them and will help them to keep the books in the Literacy Lab organized and they will have an easier time finding their favorite books. I can just imagine them coming into the lab and wanting to go directly to the Reading Corner to find their favorite book to read.
