My classroom is a self-contained special education classroom in an urban public school, with a low student-to-staff ratio of no more than 10 children. The students have significant social, emotional, and behavioral challenges- they are part of the emotionally disturbed population. Our program has a therapeutic component in order to treat the "whole" child as well.
