The History Department is in the process of creating a Makers' Space for our student body. We have the use of Chromebooks and we are looking to add a set of iPads to offer a more flexible option for our creative process. With these iPads, the students will be able to create movie projects, design interactive websites, produce multimedia timelines, and even film and edit their own commercials. We want to provide access to project making materials for our project-based learning, and a fully functional Makers' Space will make our curriculum more accessible to all of our student population. By being able to access technology at school, we believe we are providing more access to the 'digital age' for our students and introducing them to the high tech demands that they will encounter in the future. Our department is requesting a total of 15 iPads. My project funds the second 5 out of 15.
