Traditional sitting can be challenging for my students, especially during large group activities. Providing my students with different sitting options, such as the ball chair, fidget bands and Wobble chairs, may benefit them to attend and participate during these activities with more independence. They can be provided the movement they seek with less distractions to themselves and their peers. Attending, engaging and participating as independent as possible is one of my main focus for my students. Having the inflatable PeaPod and weighted lap pads readily available in their classroom, my students will be able to use them and obtain body pressure/sensation they seek in a more appropriate manner, instead of crashing into furniture, staff or peers which can be a safety concern.
