Pre-Algebra and Algebra can seem like pretty daunting subjects to learn. However, they don't have to be. Algebra tiles are great hands-on manipulatives that can help students understand equations, variables. integers, etc. In elementary students use base ten blocks to help them understand diverse topics. In middle school, students can use Algebra Tiles. So the verdict is in: Algebra tiles CAN help make Algebra more understandable. Having a classroom set of Algebra tiles would be an amazing hands-on resource for students to have. A classroom set would enable each student to have their own tiles to work with, which is a win-win!
