We are limited to the resources we have in our classroom. One of the major challenges with Autism is being able to express our feelings. These books will be used in Circle Time activities and lesson planning. These books have been specifically selected because they do highlight concepts such as teaching about emotions and self-control. Other books have been selected, due to my students' interests such as animals, and books with funny, and colorful characters. My students are young and vary in their abilities. These books will be able to reach multiple levels of development. Every classroom should have a wide variety of books for both the teacher and students to choose from daily. I am hoping that this project will enhance the different abilities of my children and open their minds to literacy. Books are a resource that my current students and future students can benefit from. Thank you for your support in my classroom.
