Each and every day, my students are exploring the wonders of books. We begin each day with reading our book of the week. This year, a classroom favorite has been "If You Take a Mouse to School". My students love the predictability of this book, and after two days of me reading the book, the students were able to tell the story based on the pictures alone. With the use of puppets and props, my students will be able to bring some of their most favorite books to life. By donating to our project, you are helping to support the learning of students who learn best through hands-on experiences and enhancing the learning experience for all students. These props and puppets will be utilized in whole-group learning activities, small-group learning activities, and independent learning activities. With props, I will also be able to engage students who best express themselves through actions rather than a verbal response. While props are available in the school's resource center, there is a limited supply. The completion of this project will allow me to keep these kits within my classroom and have them readily available to enhance my lessons.
