The materials that I have chosen will give my students a hands-on approach through exploration. STEAM is what I plan on integrating into my classroom this year. STEAM uses Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math to guide student learning. I am planning to also integrate reading and writing. Students will engage in experiential learning, problem-solving and embrace collaboration. With items such as Magz-Bricks, Brain Flakes, Straw Builders, my students will be creative, risk takers and work collaboratively with their peers. The benefits of this type of learning are tremendous for my growing, exploring and experimenting students.
