My project is named Energetic P.E. I want to get students excited about physical activity during their P.E. times in order to promote healthy lifestyles for a life time. Furthermore, research has shown that physical activity actually stimulates the brain and allows for more engaged learning in the classroom to take place. I would like to really get my students pumped up with some music while we are outside exercising. Teaching in a low income area, the students are not use to physical activity outside. I want to redefine our P.E. times, so that they can enjoy and really get into our P.E. activities for the day. I feel that music will help transform these periods into positive and more energetic experiences. I think getting the Ion Audio Rock Blocker stereo system will help do just that. I plan on using the Ion Audio Rock Blocker to play energetic, kid friendly, and popular music while students exercise. Hopefully, if I can get my students to enjoy P.E., they will be more likely to be active outside of school as well.
