Tables will allow my students the ability to move around the classroom to best suit their learning for that lesson or activity. You can see that my students currently all squeezing into the one table that I have in my room. My students like to sit at tables because they can spread out more than at a desk, move to get away from another student who might be distracting them, and their legs are more comfortable underneath. My students will also have more flexibility to move around and collaborate with group members on a variety of projects. My students are more focused when they are given the opportunity to move to a table rather than sitting at their desk. The tables will be used along with a variety of other flexible seating options so that my students have the opportunity to work up to their best potential!
