My students are first graders at a Title I school. Many of them are from low-income, high poverty families. Each student at our school receives two free meals a day. They come to school with limited background knowledge across all content areas. Many also struggle to read and access grade level texts. I also have students with limited abilities that need extra support and english language learners.
