I ordered carpet squares and clipboards. My students will not have the traditional classroom. They will have the option for flexible seating. My students will mostly be using carpet squares as their work area and use their clipboards to write on. Kindergartners that lay on the floor and learn to write are engaging their core and upper body to help stabilize them as they write. This is a more effective way of learning that the traditional seating arrangement. Also, using the carpet squares allow them to move and wiggle around without being a disruption. The mobile storage unit will be used to hold all their supplies since they will not have a desk to store these things in.
