My students will be able to use the clip-on desk lamps to add illumination to their work spaces. We are moving into a new room for our art studio and many of the students will be facing the wall on prehung countertops. This setup means that shadows will be cast onto the students' work areas from their bodies blocking the ceiling lights. The desk lamps will be placed in a location that will allow my students to arrange the light on their projects however they need to to create their art masterpieces. Offering a desk lamp to each student will allow them to individually set the lighting for their workspace aiding them in the creative process.
