We are seeking rugs, magnets, hooks and books. Students are more engaged in colorful, inviting classrooms with seating options to suit every learning style. 5th grade students in their last year of elementary school are embarking on discovering their passion for education. Continuing to develop and encourage their interest in reading will increase their success as they transition to junior high. New books in high interest genres will help cultivate my students' love of reading and learning. Incorporating nonfiction graphic novels will allow for more intentional content area and reading skill integrated teaching. Students currently have a limited access to graphic novels, which is their most requested genre.
