My students need outdoor equipment to play with during the sunny days. My school is in a small country community. Many of my students spend their free time on farms or at the beach. My students thrive outdoors. I want to give my students the equipment they need to play outdoors and burn off some energy during recess time. My students will use the equipment to play basketball, kickball, and soccer. They will use the bases to set up and organize games among their peers. Through play at recess, children learn valuable communication skills, including negotiation, cooperation, sharing, problem-solving, and coping skills, such as perseverance and self-control. -National Association of Sport and Physical Education.
