In order to effectively teach my students, I need to engage them in kinesthetic, hands-on lessons. The Garden Project is a means of applying all of my curriculum (science, health, gardening, and math) to real world scenarios. Students will be taught concepts such as area and perimeter as they measure the garden boxes or experience life cycles as they grow their own plants. We would like to buy plastic raised beds to increase accessibility for students and be able to utilize the garden beds for a longer period. Two years ago our class was given the opportunity to work with some other science classes in the garden, but since then our garden beds have rotted. With your help, we can once again work in the garden, this time with plastic garden beds to reduce the rate of rotting. We also need the soil to fill each bed as each one requires bags to fill it. The weed liner is also needed so that we may line the garden bed's ground to decrease the amount of weed pulling the class will have to do; this way our plants will be receiving the needed water. Thank you for your help.
