Second graders need the opportunity to have seat options while they work. My students can sit, stand, and move freely around the room when they work. Many times they want to work at their desk, but moving around in a standard chair can be dangerous- tipping over happens all the time! Wobble cushions give kids the chance to safely move in their seats without toppling over. If kids choose to move around the room, floor chairs are the perfect comfy spot to stay focused on their task! Students like options and this project will give them just that. Making choices will help students to take more ownership of their learning and be successful each day.
