Through one on one counseling, group workshops, and support by the school counselors students will have access to information to help them earn acceptance to colleges and various scholarships. Over half of our students are first generation so they lack the awareness to navigate the college application process. The counselors will support, mentor and assist all students to better navigate the college and scholarship process. Each student will have folders to stay organized through the workshops. In addition, the students' acceptances will be celebrated through acknowledgment of them holding their acceptances and a picture. Each poster will be displayed for the entire school community to see. Counselors will create an atmosphere of support through weekly wearing their "I am there for you" t-shirts. The school community will share in the celebration and support of our students.
