Everyone learns differently, therefore, everyone learns best in different environments. Allowing students to pick where they can sit to work, using flexible seating options, will give them a sense of independence and allow them to focus more on their work. My students enjoy being able to work around the room on floor spaces, however giving them various seating options would make them even more excited and engaged in their work. I've chosen to get wobble cushions, seat wedges, seat cushions, and kids beach chairs to give my students different options for how they can work around the room - whether it's in their seat with a cushion or in a different area around the room. Also, as there are so many students in our class it is beneficial for students to be able to spread out around the room and work in their best learning environment.
