Research shows the importance of reading for students to acquire a new language. Our Spanish classroom wouldn't be complete without stories to go with our fun themes throughout the year. By donating books in Spanish, you can help students have a choice in what they read, see the language in authentic texts, and make connections from the lessons to an engaging story. When students make these connections, they will be able to see the new vocabulary and grammatical structures in a new context. Not only will their language improve, but they will also develop a global perspective as we read about different cultures and hear common children's stories from other countries.

About my class
