Reading is power. Many of us know this. Unfortunately, many of my Title I students miss out on this incredible potential power due to a lack of books that interest them. My goal is to add some engaging new titles to my classroom library so my students can engage in thought-provoking reading sessions that lend themselves to higher-level discussions between peers. Every word a student reads is a powerful tool that helps propel him or her to new heights of learning and possibility. It takes one engaging book to inspire life-long reading that empowers students to embrace learning, love, and humility capable of shaping the world.

About my class
