My mission is to create an outdoor learning space for all students at Plum Creek Elementary. This space will enhance instruction and provide authentic learning. Additionally, this space will be a great refocusing area to practice calming strategies and self-regulation. Fresh air, sunlight and a safe place for mindfulness are great resources to add to our school day. For the first phase of this project we would like to make sure there is a wide variety of seating and workspace available. My students need quality benches and workspace for our outdoor classroom. The benches will add to the tree stump seating we have been gifted and ensure that we have storage for outdoor classroom materials. The circular storage bins will provide a beautiful hard surface for students to write on or put their feet up.
