Kindergarten students are on the move, yet they are expected to sit and listen for long periods of time during the day. Flexible seating is a choice provided to students that allows them to work around the room comfortably and focused. It provides students the environment they need to be their best. Students will be more in control of their learning. They will choose where they want to sit, whether it's at a standing table, on a stationary exercise ball, or on wobble stools. This will give my students a sense of ownership and enable them to become invested in their own education by having the ability to control where they sit. Students do their best when they can get their wiggles out, flexible seating allows them to be in positions that only little bodies find comfy to help them do their best. I want to foster their love learning by providing them with choices.
