We are seeking to add four different book sets, "Fish in a Tree", "Out of My Mind", "The False Prince", and "Spy School" to our classroom. Students will read these novels independently and then meet in groups for discussion with their peers. Not only will they be feeding their imaginations, but they will also be practicing the skills and strategies that good readers use - analyzing character development, visualizing, making predictions and connections, listening to the viewpoints of others, and justifying their statements with text evidence. The discussions these students have with their peers while reading are absolutely phenomenal. All of the novel sets listed below are proven to highly engage the reader. Thank you for your continued support of our amazing classroom! It has been my pleasure to participate in novel discussions with these fantastic fifth graders.
