Our listening area has been broken all year, and the students keep asking when they will be able to listen/read a book. They love working in small groups and reading on their own. The blue tooth CD player and wireless headphones will be used throughout the school day. When the students are able to listen to a book on CD during area time, that increases their time of reading by approximately 15 minutes a day, which is approximately 75 more minutes a week! I truly believe that a working listening area and books on CD will really help increase my students' overall literacy skills this school year.
